Illustrations for a self made book

Assignment for school. We made one book ourself, one “Artist Book” and one “Altered Book”.
This is the illustrations I made for my own book. The topic was about senses, and we took inspiration from a short story by John Ajvide Lindqvist.

Movie Poster

In this assignment we could choose between making one out of three posters. I made this one and it is suppoused to be a movie poster. The made-up movie title was “Nesting Birds” and it was suppoused to be a romantic comedy. I thought I wanted to try and make it into a sort of indie movie poster.

Cafe Wall Illustration

Assignment for school. We were suppoused to make an illustration for a cafe wall. We made the illustration, and elements for decor.

Space Ladies

This one is mostly for fun. I am working on a comic together with a friend. It is a science fiction story, and I wanted to make some characters that could fit into that universe, like a test. I was trying out how to make their clothes and hair look, and the blonde girl is not a human, but some sort of alien.

I should have made a background.

Fusentast

We had an assignment at school, where we were working with character design for a puppet theater group called Fusentast. They were going to put up a play called something like “The Big Finale” and wanted us to create character designs and a scene for the play.

I made mine with ballpoint pen and water colours.

Belcampo: The hero of the play. A photographer who has moved home to his small hometown after many years abroad.

Bella, Belcampo's lover.

Bergseter, Belcampo's friend and neighbor.

The Devils: They try to take as many people to hell as they can.

The Angels: They save good people and take them to heaven.

In the play, Belcampo dresses up as a Devil, so that he can save as many good poeple as possible, by helping them get to heaven. The first person he saves is of course his love Bella. It is a kind of sad yet very sweet scene I think.

One digital sketch

I’ve been trying to test out drawing with a tablet in Photoshop, and today I finished a little sketch or doodle.
Nothing special, just a small monster, but I am kind of happy about it.

I have a small book that I do sketches in. Today I scanned a few that I did these past days.

Illustrations for egozine

We did this really nice assignment at school, where we made an egozine. It was supposed to be a small booklet/zine that represented ourselves as an illustrator. I decided to make mine on a theme, something that inspired me, so I choose “forest” as a sort of key word. I made several illustrations, inspired by different things in the forest, and then I wrote some facts about that thing. I was happy with the illustration, but I think I might redo the typography (wich I am not posting here anyway).

I’ve always loved Moomin, and these illustrations are inspired by Tove Jansson’s style. I love her. I hope to do more illustrations that are like these.

A deer. Because animals live in the forest. It is kind of shy.

Fish drawing

This is a drawing I did this summer. I think that it is sort of flat, but, I still like the girl and the colours. Maybe I should redo it? It is done with tria markers and pencil.

ABC book

Here are some illustrations for a ABC book that I made last year.
We choose our own theme, and mine was horrible monster children. These illustrations are done in acrylic paint, with some black ink, different kinds of paper and fabric.

My new blog

I’ve made this blog, so that I will have a place to post my drawings, illustrations that I do for school and sketches/doodles. I might post some inspiration once in a while too, but I am not quite sure about that yet.
